pancreatic cancer? I am 13 years old, my grandmother (67 years old) just has a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, the doctor said it already on the late stage. I 've been to Australia for 2 years and got one more weak to go to return to my country . Will I be able to see her alive. Can you give me some advice.
What is pancreatic cancer and how do you get it? I now know of 5 people who have had Pancreatic cancer and died within 3 months. I don't understand why it isn't caught earlier so people can live. My husband had an unsuccessful Whipple Operation Oct. 2002, the tumor on the head of his Pancreatic was the size of a small peach, the doctors said that with radiation and chemo they might be able to extexd his life 6 to 9 months, but the cancer was very aggressive and the tumor would not shrink. My husband is still alive, he lost 60 pounds during chemo, but has gained the weight back, the tumor is the size of a dime. He has a lot of muscle pain and fatigue, is there anyone else who had an uncessful Whipple Operation for Pancreatic Cancer and is still alive 3 and 1/2 years later? Do you have muscle pain and fatigue? Does anyone have any suggestions?
patrick swayze has pancreatic cancer can someone tell me? why he is has refused to quit smoking when asked by his doctors and still smokes? My mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer about 9 months ago and underwent the Whipple surgery to remove the tumor, along with most of her pancreas. She underwent chemotherapy and radiation therapy and seemed to react well to both (several CT scans have indicated no signs of tumors elsewhere in her body). However, about 2-3 weeks ago, she began experiencing a constant pain in her abdomen, which has persisted. She's gone to a few different doctors, and they can't exactly figure out what it might be - they think maybe just a pulled muscle. However, she went to her oncologist last week and found out that her CA 19-9 level shot way up. Is there something else, besides the cancer and that could be related to her stomach pain that may be causing this?
